Topics: Colorectal cancer, follow-up, microsimulation, cost-effectiveness analysis
Tara Boute studied Health Sciences (BSc) at the VU University in Amsterdam and obtained two MSc degrees: Health Policy at the VU University Amsterdam and Health Care Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Tara has a broad understanding of the Dutch healthcare system and its future challenges concerning quality and cost-effectiveness. Her main interests lie in health technology assessment and health economic modelling. She is currently working as a PhD student on the PATTERN-II project. The aim of this project is to optimize the follow-up of curatively treated stage II/III colorectal cancer patients. This is done by simulating different risk-based follow-up schedules using a micro-simulation framework.
