Vanessa received her BSc degree in Mathematics from Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain and after that decided to extend her studies doing a MSc degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Carlos III University, Spain. During the latter, she developed an interest on the application of mathematics to healthcare and for my master project she worked on the application of Approximate Bayesian Computation to study the different stages of Glioblastoma evolution. She is currently working on the Lynch project which aims to optimize colorectal cancer surveillance in individuals with Lynch Syndrome.
